The lack of rotor control hasn't affected me and my dipole much!

Setting RUMlog up to run FSK-D you don't need any interface.  In fact even in 
other digital modes I don't use an interface between my iMac and the K3.  

In FSK-D rumlog keys the FSK in the K3 via serial connection and if you use the 
K3 onboard decoder you don't even need any audio cables.  I use at least one 
audio cable so that I can use CCM for decoding.  I find that's more flexible.
