Hi Jim, I have been using ACLog for about 2 years now. I find it simple, easy to use, and without a lot of complex features that are of no value...to me. I am a DX'er and an extremely casual contester (for the DX value). ACLog reports K3's band and exact frequency; which is all I really want it to do for logging purposes. I don't use it to control a rotator (since my wire antennas and vertical don't need rotators!) and I don't use it to report DX spots; I use the standalone DX cluster program DX Summit for that. I also find the program easy to use for my LoTW uploads. I have tried several other logging programs such as logger32, Ham Radio Deluxe (which I use for general rig control and digimodes), DX Keeper, etc. I find them all too bloated with features I have no use for, and which require a learning curve that I don't have the time for. One good thing about ACLog (which is true of many logging programs) is that it will export your log in ADIF format. If you chose to switch to another logger, it is relatively painless to export from ACLog and import into your new logger of choice. These are my experiences for what it's worth..... 73 de K6SBA David in Santa Barbara ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net
