I agree with 40 and 30.  Much better luck having done QRP portable for
years.

I agree with Paul. I have a K1-4 (40-30-20-15) I bought in about 2005. Our
current position in the solar cycle says 20M for daytime and either 30 or 40
for nighttime. The choice between 30 and 40 would be personal. I've had
better luck on 30m with QRP than on 40m over the years. I have never made a
contact on 15 with the K1. It's just too spotty to depend on QRP there. When
it's open, it's really open, but it's the luck of the draw.

20M has always been my favorite band. These days weekday CW activity is kind
of sparse. I have almost NO luck at the 20M QRP freq, but I can nearly
always scare up a contact below 14.025 if I want.
