My brother's brother-in-law and my brother-in-law are both USPS retirees. The
stores they tell would cause you to wonder about anything sent via USPS.
Just a few minutes ago I stopped at the cluster mailbox down the road to fetch
my mail. My National Geographic Magazine was folded in half and permanently
creased to make room for a package stuffed in the slot. There are keyed lock
boxes in the cluster for such things but they weren't used.
To add insult, the package wasn't even mine, but belongs to a neighbor a block
away.

I have never had a good experience with USPS’ handling of package
deliveries, particularly heavy (expensive) ones.
