I have almost the exact same thing except mine is on the front panel.I made
adapters to use the 444 with my K3, Swan 140, Yaesu rigs, and Collins.

That's a near ideal mic for communications use. It's response is very
carefully shaped for speech intelligibility. Some pretty smart hams wee
working at Shure when they developed it. I've used one in my station
before W6XU, another pro audio guy, turned our contest club on to the
wonderful Yamaha CM500 gaming headsets.
