Hi Kevin, This is Al Montoye W8RBF from Michigan. I’ve been on the reflector email list for some time. I’ve tried to check in a few times but have been successful only once on 20m. A good friend, John Gibson NO8V, told me about the net several years ago so I occasionally tune in. I usually look at your contacts list on Sunday evening to see who checked in and NO8V is usually there. He looked forward to that QSO every week. Sadly I must report that John passed away this week at age 90. He was a beloved physics professor at Alma College and a mentor to countless hams. His wife Jean and two children and their families survive him.
