I'm a little unsure of what I was hearing (except your call!). Maybe it's just me (or my ears or the stereo! hi hi!), but I can just barely make out that there is another station.

Regarding the noise: Would it be possible to do an A/B test (with/without noise)? I think that would showcase the K3 filters more effectively.
