Sure! I don't see your proposal very far from mine: a full customizable sidebar 
with some kind of sources bucket. :)

To make things clear, I've got some questions:
1. The "second window akin to Mailsmith mailbox list" is the top half in that 
proposal. Why it couldn't work? Why do you prefer a separated window? Pros and 
cons?
2. Thanks for the reminder on meta-searches. You're absolutely right, but since 
we're building a "great search system" with text queries, do you think hidden 
searches will be still necessary?
3. What do you think should be the default sidebar content when I add my first 
IMAP box?

I know, I started everything on paper. But I can't update the drafts with the 
feedback and share them back so easily. ;)
