Instead, I'll warn about this. If I had to do it all over again, there wouldn't be as many options. It gets surprisingly complicated to maintain and test, since each option increases the number of combinations. More than once bugs have appeared in this area that didn't get seen until release, just because there are enough combinations. (Even though I have a bunch of great beta testers.) -Brent PS On the other hand, permitting the use of arrow keys to move between panes is something I'd love to see in 1.0. I've never had issues with it, and people like it. One of the things that drives me nuts about Mail is how hard it is to get keyboard focus on the mailbox list.
