Good god this sounds like a horrible idea. User interface nightmare. (For example, how do I see the state of all of my folders? How do I change multiple folders? Etc.) Let's say instead that the filtering and filter actions should be robust enough that people who want to do this, can, with their own filters, in the privacy of their own email client. Consenting adults should be able to do what they want, as long as it doesn't hurt others. Michael --- Michael A.
