This gets weird in the concept of IMAP servers. The "official" copy of the mail is the on the server. IMAP clients will display the e-mail but they typically won't "fetch" it the way you're thinking (i.e. copied to the local machine.) I frequently use a web client (I am now), when away from home, at home a dedicated e-mail client, and traveling my iphone. None of them "fetches" mail. Even with IMAP's disconnected mode where a copy is made of the message locally, the server version remains and is the official version. When the server is available the IMAP client will refer the server one over the local. _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list List help: http://lists.ranchero.com/listinfo.cgi/email-init-ranchero.com
