How about the talk of html vs. plain text email is put on hold for now?
We don't even know if this app will have html email editing so what's the point of putting so much effort into it. There is a reason we have a tech lead who will guide how things should be implemented.
At the time when there is a decision whether the app has xyz feature, then that is the time to talk about how to do it, not before.
This list is here to talk about features but saying the same things over and over is not actually helping.
