My mother is using emailer v1.1.3
and recently she was informed that her ISP (verizon) is hanging their
SMTP servers to require authentication. On every email!
Guess they can't figure out how to set the servers so they will not be
open relay servers ; )
anyway... after setting up the smtp server (new) that verizon wants her
to use - she can no longer send mail. The server sends back an
authentication error (550 I think).
In the short term the older smtp servers are stil running, but those will
(verizon did not specify when) go away.
Any ideas?
The log in, check mail then send does not resolve the issue.
