This is all because the index is ebuilt everytime and isn't saved. Sorting will always take time with Emailer, but changing folders should not take long time when sorted in date, or you need a new DB rebuild or more RAM. How much total RAM have you got? How fast are other apps when Emailer is slow on changing folders?
