I've used emailer for a few years, and didn't realize that rebuilding the database is a maintenance thing that improves performance. So I decided to do it, using the simple (forget the exact term) option (the upper radio button in the rebuild dialog box). The rebuild progresses very slow (my database is 34MB in size) and when very partially complete I got a total system freeze requiring a forced restart. I let DiskFirstAid run and got a message that my disk is damaged and it couldn't repair it. After OK'ing the message my Blueberry ibook (system 9.0.4, Emailer V2.03) started up fine. I then restarted with my system disk and ran DiskWarrior, which found damages in emailers database and index. Upon restart I verfied that I have a second database and index called "(incomplete)", and Emailer is running fine with the database seemingly intact.
So, what happened? Or more important, what do I do? (btw, temp incoming is empty.) Thanks, Gabriel ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
