I think that using a "Mac only" ISP, or any of the non-mainstream ISPs, may have something to do with spam, too; I use Appleisp.com, another Mac "only" dialup, and rarely get spam (The Mac-only ISPs can do Windows -- they just don't "support" Windows). The other benefit is the ease of reaching technical support for any issues which might come up -- sure beats recorded messages to have the techie answer the phone!!
