Known problem, not Emailer-specific (unless you consider Classic as an 
Emailer-runtime, like me ;-)

I think the latest version of USB Overdrive DOES activate scrollwheels in 
Classic (I don't know if you need both X and 9 versions for that, haven't 
tried it yet).

As far as I know, USB Overdrive seems much better than proprietary 
drivers anyway: I'd recommend USB Overdrive for OS 9 over any proprietary 
driver (most of which causedproblems in the past). I had crashes with 
many drivers until I either gave up on third-party mice (ADB) or tried 
USB Overdrive. I didn't register yet since my Logitech and Adomax don't 
need drivers under OS X, and USB Overdrive didn't work for Classic.

The Adomax is extremely pretty (transparent, white or grey or black, 
optical, "no button", 3 clicks, glowing blue wheel), mine came from 
Japan, you can now find it at macmice.com
