>Known problem, not Emailer-specific (unless you consider Classic as an >Emailer-runtime, like me ;-)
You mean there is more you can do with Classic than run Emailer?!? :-) I think it has something to do with the fact that the Kensington software in Classic sees the mouse as a trackball. I don't know if that is due to a Kensington bug, or due to OS X doing something screwy. I'll try USB Overdrive. Kensington actually specifically states NOT to run USB Overdrive, and that it and any other 3rd party drivers should be disabled when running in OS 8 or 9. That's from a tech note on getting scrolling to work in 8 and 9. My guess is, they tell you that A: so you use their software, and B: because I'd not be surprised that if you ran their software AND USB Overdrive, that the two would fight over control of the mouse and strange results may occur. But I'll give USB Overdrive a try anyway. Scrolling in Emailer would be great since the long message windows always open so the scroll arrows are below the dock. I can't believe I lived this long without a scroll mouse. (My wife made me buy it. She is using one at her new job and said it made things much better and she wanted one at home.. I bought Kensington because I've used them in the past and been happy (I have a 4 button mouse of theirs on this computer at work), and because when Apple was going thru rough times, Kensington stuck it out and continued to make and support Mac products.) -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
