Its possible Emailer works in conjunction with the mail server. I am 99%
sure I have seen it mentioned in Emailer's help that it has a max of 50
to a message and over that will be broken down into multiple emails.

I just searched the help, and all I was able to turn up is that Emailer
supports a max of 1000 email addresses to a single email message. It does
also mention that some services have a maximum number of address and that
the email will be resent until all addresses have been sent. I just
wasn't able to find the count that emailer breaks at (or if it is emailer
that breaks it). But I am still 99% sure that it is Emailer doing the
breaking, and that SOMEWHERE in the help it mentions that.
