Apologies for the long delay in replying. I've confirmed that the OSXvnc 1.3 daemon is indeed causing the display redraw slowdown in Emailer. Emailer returns to full speed if I kill the two OSXvnc server processes. OSXvnc <http://www.redstonesoftware.com/vnc.html> is a mac version of VNC. VNC <http://www.realvnc.com/> is cross-platform open-source freeware which allows you to remotely view or control one computer from another. It's incredibly useful. *snip from earlier* >I have noticed that when I quit Emailer, if I move the mouse off the >little window that says it is deleteing old emails, then it slows to >a crawl. Sounds like X11 "focus" behaviour rather than the OS X GUI to me. I see and expected slow down in Emailer if I actually bring something else to the front, but not move the cursor off the window. You're not running anything that could cause this are you?
