I should have been more explicit.

First of all, thanks to the several people who took me by the
hand and guided me to the solution of getting wireless internet
to work on my PowerBook "Kanga" running OS 8.6.

I finally arrived at the MacWireless.com web site and bought a
new 11b 200mw PCMCIA card which has a stated range of about
2/3 of a mile. This is a marvelous piece of equipment which
works flawlessly, even for this low-power-user. With just a
little help from their friendly tech support, I'm now getting my
wireless hi-speed from a "hot spot" which is near my home. I
was absolutely blown away by the efficiency with which this
works.

So my Firewall solution will have to be software-based. I
already have one recommendation of NetBarrier from Intego, I'm
just waiting a bit longer to see if there are any others which
have given good service to our Emailer community. I'd better
get something on there pretty quick.

Thanks again to all involved,

Bill
