When I first got a new machine with OSX, Emailer no longer seemed to work well for me. I couldn't adjust the size of the fonts so that I could easily read them, and the small delay while Classic launched seemed like a hardship, so I tired mail.

For what its worth, my transition from Emailer to Mail was quick, easy, and painless. All my old posts came over intact with no problems at all. I suspect that I don't have such stringent requirements for an email program as do some of you handling the mail volume of a business, and after a bit of adjustment to the look and feel, I'm actually quite happy with mail. I like things like attached photos opening right in the mail rather than requiring me to click on them, and I like the fact that deleting a post deletes the attachment without my having to go to a downloads folder or run a script that some of you seem to describe. While I had occasional small problems with Emailer that required my coming to you folks for help, Mail has not so much as burped.

I'm still hanging around out of nostalgia, and because my wife is still using OS9 and Emailer. When she finally gets a new Intel machine, I guess she won't even have the choice of sticking with Emailer, but I'll probably still stay around just in case there is ever news of Emailer working with OSX or of some perfect substitute for Emailer being created.
