That's good to know, but now I'm forced to embarrass myself by admitting that I can't even find the Mail databass to see how large it is now. In the previous OSs, I was forced to get into knowing where extensions, control panels, etc. were because it was necessary in order to keep things running. It seems that I've never had to figure out where a lot of things are in OSX because it works so well, and a quick search for the Mail database did not reveal its location to me.
