Hi everyone;

I'm interested in taking a look at an OS9 capable copy of
MailSmith. Does anyone have one that I can beg, borrow,
buy, rent, lease, or otherwise procure. Preference to
the newest OS9 capable version in existence.

I really don't want to use it for email, but would like to
take a good look at it for reference. Was going to buy one
from them at one time but a sales guy stomped all over good
PR by telling me how terribly obsolete < Unobtainium > it
was and blah blah... you know the standard line they give
for obsolete software. *grumble grumble At one time I
was going to be a customer... credit card in hand and
"walked out the door" empty handed.

<Rant alert>

It STILL frosts me.... manufacturers just can't sell that
'old stuff' because ... what??? They want to move the market
along forward??? C'mon folks, what other industry has a
product that costs them absolutely ZERO to keep in inventory,
people to pay for the product, product availability, and yet
plasters on a plastic smile with "Sorry, we don't want to
sell it to you!" That reeks of being the polite version
of "Go the H away Mr Customer!" Um... ok I already have!

Yeah I hear the "We can't tech support that..." mantra.
They STILL could get money for it if they'd at least sell
it. GIVE it away fer cryin out loud with a stern splash
screen disclaimer on it saying "Don't call us, this product
is unsupported". SOMETHING!

If they get their heads out of their butts, perhaps they can
eventually see how making a customer on that 'old stuff' still
makes a customer! HELLO? Short sighted people anyhow.

Am I the only one who sees this?

*stalking off to look for wifes prozac bottle before I
 dig around for that old posting about orphaned software
