Emailer's Mail Database is not a text file. It does contain some text strings, which is why it is partially readable with a text editor. But it is not a text file, and I would NOT recommend attempting to edit it with a text editor (I also wouldn't recommend using a text editor to read it either, unless it is damaged in such a way that nothing else can get to it, then a text editor might let you extract whatever emails you feel are a "must recover"). Spotlight, I believe, will attempt to index anything it can. So once again, the fact that there are text strings in the Mail Database means that yes, Spotlight should be able to attempt to make some kind of an index of the data inside. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
