I'm sure you are right. It's not happening now I've switched all accounts to "delete immediately". And I think it was happening with only one account anyway (but I forgot to check). The server in question is an old Sun Cobalt.

BTW I don't get any spam. Virtually Zero, zilch, nada, tipota. If I _do_ get a spam, message, I simply change that email address to an autoresponder* on the server and create a new address. Lord knows what load I'm putting on the server but it frees me from spam!

*I could simply delete the address but leaving an autoresponse at least tells genuine callers why the message is being bounced. "You have used an old email address. Please use the email form at...".
