Any number of reasons. The connection from their server to your
server dropped before your server acknowledged receipt, so their
server resent it. A backup was restored and that message was caught
between. The list can go on and on.
I have always had messages on my server deleted immediately once CE
picks
them up.
Why would CE have left one behind?
The answer to that question seems to be the root of the issue. If we
knew why one of the Temp Incoming files kept failing to delete, we
might be able to solve the issue. :-)
