I do not think it is ISP, I get too much mail, from too many places, and it is always Mail that causes this for me. I did some tests and it is the first space that the file name gets truncated. always. There is also the occasional "split" file, that appears to be an apple double encoding gone bad. I don't know what causes that, or what client.
