I have this problem, and what I had to do was set every client up to 
handle multiple accounts, then never pick up mail at the "wrong" 
addresses, but then I can send from the other client. I just don't get to 
keep a sent mail record from that send.

Hopefully, by the end of the year, I will have figured out my future in 
email to a reasonable degree. ;-)
