I am going to have to try using XPostFacto to install 10.4. If anyone
knows of something that I should watch out for, please let me know. I'm just guessing that it should work essentially the same on the WallStreet as 10.2.8 does. My serial keyboard works fine in 10.2.8, I am guessing
that it will still work in 10.4.

Before messing with XPostFacto, check and be sure you really NEED it to install 10.4. I believe all but the original model PowerBook G3 will run 10.4 without XPostFacto, the only issue is the installer won't let you install it.

But you can get around that by installing on a supported machine and then transfering the install to the unsupported machine. A bit more difficult with a laptop, but if you have a supported machine, you should be able to turn the laptop into firewire target disk mode and mount it as an external hard drive on the supported machine and do the install that way.

The reason I say to check this first is I've had issues with XPostFacto making less than stable installs as it changes some other stuff on the install. That is fine if the machine genuinely isn't supported, but on a machine that can run 10.4 without messing with the installation, you are better off doing it clean then hacked with XPF.
