Glad you like the Canon... we got a PowerShot A430 for my wife, but now 
she has an Olympus FE-230 and I'm stuck with the Canon and detest it. Way 
too many features to attempt to maneuver around. Great for somebody who 
wants to spend the time learning all that, but a pig for someone (like 
me) who wants to take good candid pictures. Unfortunately the old Olympus 
-- which had just enought features to do what I wanted -- couldn't be 
repaired... sigh.

However I was able to get it to download pictures to a G3 iBook via 
GraphicConverter, to avoid using the Canon-provided software.
