yesterday I completed the migration from Claris Emailer to a new e-mail
client. From the build date (1998) of the most recent Emailer version to 2013
is a long time, but it's been reliable and smoothly functional all the way. I
started on version 1.0 and migrated to 2.0 a short while later, and the money I
spent on it has been a great investment. However, my ISP will (like many other
e-mail services) soon require encryption on all e-mail traffic, and
unfortunately CE can't handle that, not even with Baton Mail. I also need to
migrate to a faster machine, and OS X 10.4 on PowerPC is falling behind. I've
actually had the faster Mac for over a year, and CE has been one of main
reasons I haven't used it much.
Claris Emailer and its database won't be deleted, just not used much.
I'm curious as to who else might still be using CE as their sole or primary
e-mail application. Anyone out there?
