I managed to slip in a few minutes to copy the kernel over to an existing
EMC install. The kernel seemed to have booted correctly and still correctly
detects 4 CPUs. EMC seems to be rather particular about what kernel is
installed however, as trying to run it gives the error:
EMC2 requires the real-time kernel 2.6.24-16-rtai to run.

Can I fake this out by renaming it for example, or do I need to make a
change in the source package to accept my new kernel?

Thanks,
Eric

Just an update, I think I got it. At least the RTAI test check out.
Unfortunately today is that national holiday in the US known as the
Superbowl, so I am quickly running out of time to test it with EMC and must
get on to my partying obligations. :) I will post what I find as soon as I
can get back to it.

Regards,
Eric

I think the RTAI CONFIGURED WITH LESS .. is only a warning, you can surely
configure rtai for 4 cpu's and it should go away.
But the problem is the protection eip.. no idea why that appears.
