Geez, Is nothing ever easy about this process. :)
I loaded Ubuntu 8.04 into another partition, installed the EMC source, etc. Then pull over the kernel packages and try to install them. The headers install fine, as does the kernel image and rtai modules. I reboot, and the new kernel loads fine and still detects the correct number of processors. When I go to compile EMC, I get "Checking for RT dir... configure: error: RT not found. I did not install the package rtai-dev-2.6.24.7-rtai_3.6+r1_i386.deb. When I try I get a dependency error on gcc-4.3. I have all repositories enabled and updated, but the latest gcc version listed under synaptic is gcc-4.2. How do I either load / specify the RT path or to get the rtai-dev package to install? Thanks, Eric You need to recompile emc2 against the new kernel headers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
