I'd think a set of HAL pins would be a starting point; once you have that and
the move-while-paused capability you can layer all sorts of functionality onto
that if you need to, but that is configuration from there on and doesnt affect
core code
note that there's already 'motion.tooloffset.{a-w}', they are currently
read-only
eventually there needs to be a way to commit these values to the tool table,
likely at program end.
