I shoulda said its PyGObject now instead of pygtk.
The coding is similar though...

There are big changes coming to linuxcnc if we are to
use current technology. eg GTK3 and PyGObject
and GTK Shell or Unity shell.
Actually I vote for MINT and Cinnamon...
