Yea, if Axis is replaced with a gtk and python GUI pyvcp would need 
replacing as well. Something to think about, a no programming required 
replacement for pyvcp... seems like we have part of the puzzle with 
GladeVCP. All we need it some kind of GUI that can read in the files and 
you just pick what you want connected to what... makes me think of Blade 
Runner for some strange reason.
