Mint is actually now more popular the Ubuntu.
There audience is the same as Ubuntu's aside from actually
wanting to a user interface that more traditional.
So choosing Mint over Ubuntu is doesn't make noobies suffer.
And actually arguably MINT's Cinnamon is more intuitive
then Ubuntu's Unity.
