But a series of reboots seems to have set that to right.

You haven't done a thing Bas. And I am sorry you have taken my quest for
knowledge as an insult, it certainly was not intended that way. I was
intending to point out that urls are, if all emailers are to take the
correct action, are surrounded by a set of <>
And urls don't normally contain spaces.

You would probably have to back up about 15 years to find a patch I
submitted to the linux floppy driver, and which was rejected. It worked
for me wasn't good enough.

What I seem to be moderately good about, is finding bugs, or at least that
which looks like bugs to me. I call attention, but generally if its not my
own stupidity, someone else writes the bugzilla entry. But I'd have to
admit that probably 75% of what I'd call a bug, really isn't.

I can't blame you, the stuff that google serves up seems to be quite
incomplete, which is what led to my questions in the first place.

I am well aware that the pricing for a 'beaglebone' "cape", since it will
have a much smaller sales potential than the B-Bone itself, is going to be
higher, often 2 or 3x what the bare B-Bone at 89 bucks is. Nearly 55 years
in broadcasting, in the engineering branch of the cash cow, has taught me
well that the prices are going to considerably higher when the market for
the device is likely under a total sales volume of 1000 pieces. That has
given me a "can it do the job?" attitude that can and has come across as
abrasive, my apologies for that.

Obviously, you are a 'doer', and that always impresses me. I was also,
making what we couldn't buy, or couldn't afford to buy as the case may have
been, but at 78, & retired for about 11 years now, I do more wood and metal
carving than most will see until I fall over & the DW puts it up for sale.

But its a hobby for me now. That means me & my poor short term memory are
a student at the feet of some people who have lived & dreamed about this
stuff for as long as I have been chasing electrons for a living. That is
about 65 years. And still occasionally putting a local radio station to
right when the transmitter falls over. We are a dying breed, which is
exactly what the local stations previous engineer did. Locally, I'm it
now.

You too Bas. And please, don't go away because of me.
