Wheezy with a light-weight desktop quite pretty well on a BeagleBone, which is about a Pentium or maybe P2 class machine from a performance standpoint. It ought to work just fine on a lower end x86 platform, especially if you have a supported GPU (the 'Bone currently does all screen manipulation via software, there's not even 2D acceleration). -- Charles Steinkuehler [email protected]
