I have drooled over that stepper board Jon, but at that price & my budget, 
stepper pulse generation in software is my future till I fall over.

I cry in my evening bottle of Ultra Lite about it from time to time, but 
the bottom line is that so far it has gotten the job done.  Perhaps not as 
pretty, but usable results nonetheless.
