Oh > well... Best of luck! I bought this machine in 2007, and put it to work very quickly. But, as I worked with it, i found things that needed adjusting. The biggest thing is the offsets for the mechanical alignment station are rather obscure. The head moves the part over to the mech. alignment station and the jaws on that station center the part. You need to tweak the head offset and the mech alignment offsets together so that it will align the part correctly no matter what rotation the head is in when at the station or delivering the part on the board. This ends up with a LOT of combinations that need to all be orchestrated or you get a combination that only works for one orientation. I finally have it working almost perfectly so that the alignment is about as good as the machine's repeatability will allow. But, it took me all of about 8 years to get this as good as I can.
I have LOTS of docs. I got 3 generations of manuals for a range of machines. The first generation was obviously translated from Japanese to Dutch to English, and in some sections was almost total gibberish. The 2nd generation was edited by an English speaker, but maybe somebody who didn't really know the machine or electronic assembly. The 3rd version applies to a machine newer than mine, but the software was not greatly changed. This person knew the machine thoroughly, and they rewrote the manual completely. But, it would still help to have gone to a class on the machine (impossible, now, as they are discontinued.)
