Subject: [Emc-developers] I'm bumfuzzled on video

Greetings all;

It appears that there is no longer any support for GTK+2 left in wheezy,
at least not that I can find and install, its GTK3 or do without.

I've found this page:

<https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/gtk-migrating-2-to-3.html#id-1.6.3.3.7>
Migrating from GTK+ 2.x to GTK+ 3: GTK+ 3 Reference
Manual<https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/gtk-migrating-2-to-3.html#id-1.6.3.3.7>
developer.gnome.org
GTK+ 3 is a major new version of GTK+ that breaks both API and ABI compared to
GTK+ 2.x, which has remained API- and ABI-stable for a long time.

try this deb on wheezy:

www.linuxcnc.org/dists/wheezy/base/binary-i386/glade-gtk2_3.8.0-0ubuntu6_i386.deb<http://www.linuxcnc.org/dists/wheezy/base/binary-i386/glade-gtk2_3.8.0-0ubuntu6_i386.deb>

<http://www.linuxcnc.org/dists/wheezy/base/binary-i386/glade-gtk2_3.8.0-0ubuntu6_i386.deb>

Don't try to convert the GLADE file from one version to the other.
linuxcnc doesn't support GTK3 (which the newer GLADE file use)

Camview is is of course not officially supported by linuxcnc so I don't
guarantee
 this will fix your problem.
I do think people have experimented with another vision library - opencv?
Maybe some one can post some comments on that.
