Hi Moses

I didn't mean to really complain about Andy's stuff being merged.
i was asking for the discussion of release schedule to be concrete and public.
I know it's not ones intention to be secretive; I know IRC is convenient.
I also know life gets in the way.

But I really feel it's time to get back to more public
announcements/discussions and some sort of schedule.
I'm hoping you might feel the same and could facilitate.
At the moment I feel you could just be a long armed manager and set some rough
schedule and expectations.
This might start a discussion or might just get the ball rolling.
If you are too busy at the time to do the actual required work, I'm sure we
could pick up the slack, so to speak.

Otherwise I feel we will either spend another 2 years waiting to release or
release a buggy version because we
all got too tired to debug it after pushing a bunch of work.

All my personal opinion of course.

And I thank you for volunteering to be the release manager this time around.
Maybe we can help document the requirements some more to help other people to
feel capable and volunteer too.

Chris M

Hi Chris,

Andy asked about the multi-spindle stuff before the last discussion and I
thought it should be fine to get in before the release. I do think we should
probably freeze new features now - but I'm open to any suggestions on that as
well!

I'm pretty hammered at work right now, but I'll make a diligent effort to work
on this more very soon.

Or... if someone else would like to volunteer to take over the release
management I would be quite fine with that as well. I have not had the time or
energy to put much into it - and I and volunteered in part because no one else
seemed to want the job. If not - I'll keep going and try and get a release out
soon.

Thanks,
Moses
