Thats been a non-stop problem on wheezy. But you knew that. There is a library listed by synaptic, claims to be for gtk2, and apparently comes from ubuntu. I think its version 3.80, the desired version, but ISTR trying to install it once, way back up the log, and the dependencies could not be resolved. Haven't been able to make gladevcp work except one canned example long ago, while pyvcp does work but wastes screen real estate and is more limited than glade in terms of capabilities claimed. I've some fairly complex addons to the axis gui, and they Just Work using pyvcp. Complaints here have been discussed but no actions taken other than one bug fix, but Q's to other places like the debian-users list have been echo free. GoObject I've not read the propaganda of and don't find in the synaptic display. When did it happen? Source url? So I've not been anything but noise, Andy.
