I think integrators and users don't want to be continually installing new versions of Plasmac et al. Plasmac has only ever existed in the development branch. First a private fork, then 2.8, then 2.9 There are updates to it on an almost daily basis. Most of them seem to be small tweaks that often add seemingly little value.. If you throw in the mix that we want to get in step with Debian releases, the Plasmac developers need to recognise there is a release schedule and this stream of tweaks has to slow down once 2.9 is the stable branch. I for one would prefer to see the current strategy of only issuing point releases with bug fixes is retained and enforced across the board so we can give our users a stable, predictable environment
