In the time I got the answer from Hans Mellberg saying: Yes, a NB or CAB (same thing) is required for Radio products approval in the EU-25 (was EU-15). Harmonized means that there are no differences in radio spectrum usage in all 15 countries of the pre-1 May 2004 countries. I say that because the newly inducted members would un-harmonize already harmonized frequencies their usage. How harmonized is defined will most likely change in the next few months. look for ERC-70E in the www.ero.dk And also: Only when the standard is harmonized in all EU-15 countries may you self declare compliance, i.e. no NB/CAB 13.553-13.567 MHz is harmonized in all EU-15. 125 kHz is NOT which will require an NB and also special instructions in your manual.. That information is in ERC/REC 70-03E Regards Piotr Galka From: "Gemma Paolo" <[email protected]> To: "Piotr" <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 03, 2004 4:15 PM Subject: RE: EU notified bodies for obtaining CE certification for Intentional Radiators > http://www.ieee-pses.org/symposium > http://www.emc2004.org/ > -------------------------------------------------- > > What do you have in mind with not harmonized. > EN 300 330 covers all SRD from 9 KHz to 25 MHz. > > The title is "Electromagnetic compatibility and Radio > Spectrum Matters (ERM); Wideband > Transmission systems; Data transmission > equipment operating in the 2,4 GHz > ISM band and using spread spectrum > modulation techniques; Part 2: > Harmonised EN covering essential > requirements under article 3.2 of the > R&TTE Directive" > > > The facttthat the use of the 125 KHz is not harmonized in Europe is another items.
