opps, (and here I was thinking of how well the ones in the basement performed when the buildings fell in on top of them, thanks to GR-1089/63 and whatever other standards apply. Now I, and others, have to go get our 'ham' licenses, or get to be buddies with a bunch of ham operators. They just love to be the pivot point for emergency communications and do damn good job at it too, especially when it seems no one else can get through. So how many levels of backup plans do I need to work on? Three so far, primary employer supplied, cell phone personal backup, ham ops - good buddies, ... At some point I can see I'm just gonna dig a hole, crawl in, and pull it in after me. Why o why can't we have standards that cover every possibility we can think of???
