That isn't the paraphrase that I know, which includes the word 
'horticulture'.

Horses do think, otherwise they'd never refuse a jump. What they don't 
do is seek attention by creating mythical dangers. Only anti-sciencists 
and some religionists do that. It's a unique human trait and is 
counter-survival (often for everyone except the creators!).
