As mentioned in my previous message, touch voltages are derived from body
impedance and current. The Annexes to IEC TS 60479 series describe the
research on which the body impedance and current values are based.
Also, in the early ‘80’s, I presented a paper describing body impedance change
with touch voltage and time. This supports the touch voltage limit of 30 volts
for small contact area and for a short period of time.
